Channel 4 names Mary Basterfield as new CFO

NEWS BRIEF: UK pubcaster Channel 4 has appointed Mary Basterfield as chief financial officer (CFO) to replace Lucy Thomas, who will leave the company on October 31.

Joining next Monday, Basterfield will work with CEO Priya Dogra and the board to help deliver the next phase of Channel 4’s transformation plan, prioritising investment and supporting a leaner, more efficient business model. She was most recently CFO and exec director at S4 Capital, before which she was finance director at Just Eat and CFO of UKTV and Hotels.com. She began her career in the music industry, holding senior finance roles at Sony Music and Warner Music.
