Caracol’s Ditu brings four Korean dramas to Colombia in deal with CJ ENM

True Beauty is one of four shows that will be dubbed into Spanish

MIPCOM: South Korea’s CJ ENM has licensed four scripted titles to Ditu, the streaming platform operated by Colombian terrestrial broadcaster Caracol, marking the first deal to bring Korean dramas to the service.

The package comprises True Beauty (16×60′), Another Miss Oh (18×60′), Guardian: The Lonely & Great God (16×60′) and Way Back Love (6×45′). The first three titles were produced by CJ-owned Studio Dragon for tvN, while Way Back Love is an original from CJ-owned streamer TVing.

All four will be available on Ditu with Spanish dubbing, with CJ ENM announcing the agreement here in Cannes today.

The deal expands CJ ENM’s presence in Latin America, which Sebastian Kim, head of its content distribution business unit, described as a breakthrough market.

Kim said: “Our partnership with Caracol not only strengthens CJ ENM’s presence in Colombia but also delivers high-quality Korean content to audiences in the region.”

Anamaria Pino Gutierrez, director of content at Ditu, said the platform was adding the Korean titles because “Colombian audiences are increasingly embracing stories and entertainment from around the world.”
