Canadian filmmaking duo Christopher Giroux and Ann Pirvu have launched a new venture focusing on TV movies and feature films, with a romance movie already in the can.

Precious Metal Productions’ first project is Bee My Love, which recently wrapped production and stars Pirvu as a private chef who falls for a struggling beekeeper, with Giroux directing.

It has been produced alongside partners Brigitte Kingsley and Andrew Cymek of Good Soldier Films (A Novel Christmas) and also stars Robin Dunne, Emily Alatalo, Romaine Waite, Neil Whitely and Brigitte Kingsley. It is represented by Defiant Empire Distribution, which holds worldwide distribution rights.

Giroux recently directed Uphill for Christmas, which is currently in post-production, and has a career spanning more than 50 films, across multiple genres.

Previously senior VP of production at Vortex Media, Giroux oversaw the production of films such as Anything For Jackson, A ’90s Christmas and The End of Sex.

Romanian-born actress Pirvu, meanwhile, is best known for her roles The CW’s Reign and the Canadian series Poly Is the New Monogamy. She has also starred in films such as Learning to Love Again, Little Girl In The Window and The Heiress & The Handyman.

Giroux said: “Film and TV production is entering an interesting era. The enthusiasm for content has never been higher and we strive to bridge the gap between the screen and the people watching it.

“Our productions target a multi-level approach, with a mix of broadcast, social media interaction, live streaming, fan engagement, theatrical screenings, at home events, and more. We want audiences to not just watch movies, but experience them,” said Giroux.

Pirvu added: “We’re hyper-focused on craft and precision. Our projects are thoughtfully shaped, emotionally resonant, and driven by a commitment to elevated storytelling that creates lasting, meaningful connections with people.”
