C5 takes singer McDonald back to Yorkshire

Jane McDonald’s Yorkshire is expected to air in 2022

NEWS BRIEF: UK broadcaster Channel 5 has commissioned factual series Jane McDonald’s Yorkshire (6×60’), in which the Wakefield-born singer and star of The Cruise revisits the places where she grew up.

The series was ordered by Channel 5 commissioning editor Greg Barnett and will be produced by VIS UK, the in-house production arm of the broadcaster’s parent, ViacomCBS. Mark Powell is the executive producer and the show is expected to transmit in 2022.
