Marzigliano will work across the London-based outfit’s unscripted slate alongside executive creative director Stephen Parker, founder and CEO Joel Mishcon, COO Emma Astaire and VP, North America, Robert Chew.
CS is the entertainment arm of London- and LA-based branded content and commercials business Chrome Productions.
As part its new strategy, CS will now begin the development of “premium character-focused entertainment” across limited series, documentaries, formats and feature-length films.
The outfit will also work with brands to meet the demand for advertiser-funded entertainment from networks and streamers.
Marzigliano joins from her previous role as head of US development at Wag Entertainment, where she oversaw the company’s US slate.
She also worked alongside Wag’s UK team on the development of projects for streaming platforms, including Don’t Pick Up the Phone for Netflix, and The Search for Instagram’s Worst Con Artist, for ITVX.
Prior to joining Wag, Marzigliano held director of development roles for both Zodiak New York, and MY Entertainment.
Stephen Parker, executive creative director, Chrome Studios says: “Moving into unscripted entertainment is a natural next step for Chrome.
“We have identified an opportunity to position ourselves as a thought-leading player in the hybrid space between commercials and entertainment.
“Bri’s background in developing long-running series and high-profile feature docs for networks and streamers in the US and UK makes her the perfect choice to build on our unscripted slate.”
Marzigliano said: “It’s a great time to be thinking outside the box, and Chrome’s longstanding relationships with international brands and institutions opens the door for us to develop premium content for networks and streamers at a time when access is key.”
In related news, CS is in development on its first scripted project.
