BKN's Kong shows ratings muscle

BKN International's Kong: The Animated Series has proved a hit after it made its broadcast bow on M6 in France and Fox Kids Network in the US.

The 40×30′ show premiered Stateside on Saturday June 2, unspooling at 11:00.

It garnered a 2.0 rating/10 share in kids 2-11, which put it in pole position, beating all broadcast network kids competition, including Men in Black on Kids WB! (which rated 1.3/6) and Disney's Doug on ABC (1.5/7).

In kids 6-11, Kong garnered a sizeable 2.3/12 share, a number that out-performed all kids broadcast competition in the time period, second only to Nickelodeon's Catdog

In boys 6-11, the series' 3.6/17 share emerged as the demo’s highest rating in the time period among all networks.

In France, Kong continues to show his ratings muscle on M6 every Wednesday. Average ratings for the month of May yield a 46% market share for kids 4-10 and a 45.3% market share for kids 11-14.

Kong: The Animated Series, which follows the genetically modified descendant of the great Hollywood ape, is a co-production between BKN, Ellipsanime and M6.
