Beta Film boards Rai, Picomedia’s La Storia

La Storia is currently being filmed in Rome

NEWS BRIEF: German distributor Beta Film has boarded La Storia, an 8×50’ Italian period drama based on Elsa Morante’s novel being produced by Italy’s Picomedia and Thalie Images for local pubcaster Rai.

Shooting on the project, first revealed in 2019, has begun in Rome under director Francesca Archibugi (Romanzo famigliare) with a cast led by Jasmine Trinca (The Gunman). Beta Film has come on board as a coproducer and will handle worldwide sales.
