Beijing Miaow’s House’s The Daily Life of ViViCat set for Tencent Video spin-off

ViViCat: Miles Purr Hour will be previewed in Cannes

Chinese streaming giant Tencent Video is on board a CGI animated comedy for teens and young adults based on the shortform series The Daily Life of ViViCat.

ViViCat: Miles Purr Hour (52×7′) is being developed by China’s Beijing Miaow’s House, Guangzhou Art-land and New York’s China Bridge Content with Tencent.

It comes after season one of The Daily Life of ViViCat, made up of 200 two-minute episodes, has surpassed three billion views on Tencent, according to producer Beijing Miaow’s House.

A second season of The Daily Life of ViViCat, also 200×2′, is currently in production and will be completed and streamed on Tencent Video by the second quarter of 2025.

China Bridge Content will be giving global buyers and toy companies a preview of the longer-form series during MipJunior and Mipcom in Cannes next month.

ViViCat: Miles Purr Hour was created by ViViCat brand founder Robin GuoBin, lead director of shows such as Pet Hotel, Fuwa’s Olympic Journey and Cosmicrew.

It has been developed by China Bridge Content founder and president Josh Selig (Wonder Pets, Small Potatoes, The Dog & Pony Show).

The non-verbal series features ViViCat travelling the world on his trusty motorcycle searching for the meaning of life, or snacks. Whichever comes first. Invariably, his motorcycle runs out of gas, leaving him stranded in a new city or town.
