Banijay Iberia has launched a creative agency to strengthen the visual identity of the prodco’s existing portfolio and upcoming original IP.

The label, called IMA, will also work with broadcasters and platforms to deliver boutique creative solutions and services to clients.

Agus Cantero has been appointed to lead IMA. Cantero began his TV career in 1999 at French pay TV firm Canal+, before helping create Spanish free-to-air channel Cuatro in 2005 as director of on-air image and communication.

From 2011 to 2013, Cantero was a freelance creative director, working for Discovery Channel, La Sexta, Canal+, Mediaset and Calle 13. Since 2013, he has been image director at Banijay’s Spanish subsidiary Zeppelin, creating and supervising the visual identity of content such as reality show Fama a Bailar (Floor Filler).

Pilar Blasco, CEO of Banijay Iberia, said: “Thanks to the launch of IMA, Banijay Iberia offers an even more diversified service. To the creation and production of content, we now add the possibility of developing creative campaigns. This new initiative led by Agus Cantero, an expert with a long and proven professional career, allows us to further utilise our experience and talent.”

The news follows last week’s launch of a talent agency for online influencers that will sit within Banijay France.
