Acorn TV, Channel 5 set to investigate Madame Blanc Mysteries for third time

Steve Edge and Sally Linsday on set for season three

AMC Networks’ Acorn TV and Paramount-owned Channel 5 in the UK have co-commissioned a third season of escapist crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries, starring Sally Lindsay (Cold Call).

In the 7×60′ third run, series creator Lindsay’s titular antiques dealer will again use her expertise to solve a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire.

Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant) will also return to both play Gloria Beaushaw and co-write the series.

Filming is currently underway, with the Christmas special set to air on Acorn TV in North America and Channel 5 in 2023, while the rest of the season will continue in 2024.

Clapperboard (Cold Call) and Saffron Cherry Productions (The World According to Grandpa) coproduce alongside Acorn Media Enterprises, which also serves as international distributor, holding exclusive rights worldwide except for the UK and Northern Ireland.

The series was ordered for Channel 5 by Paul Testar, commissioning editor for drama at Channel 5 and Paramount+.

Season three will be directed by Dermot Boyd and produced by Jake Rollins. Mike Benson and Andy Morgan executive produce for Clapperboard alongside Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.
