ABC Oz, RTS and Hot prebuy S2 of period kids’ series Lady Grace Mysteries

The Lady Grace Mysteries launched on CBBC and iPlayer in April

A trio of international broadcasters have prebought the second season of tween spy series The Lady Grace Mysteries, which begins principal photography this month.

ABC in Australia, RTS in Switzerland and Hot in Israel have acquired S2 of the show, which is produced by France’s Cottonwood Media and the UK’s Coolabi Productions.

The three had already taken S1, alongside Rai in Italy, NHK in Japan, Radio-Canada, YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and NPO in the Netherlands.

Commissioned by ZDF Studios in Germany and BBC Children’s & Education in the UK, S1 premiered earlier this year on CBBC and iPlayer. It is distributed by ZDF Studios and Cottonwood’s parent company, Federation Kids & Family.

Based on the detective novels of the same name, published by Coolabi’s Working Partners, the show centres on a teenage girl who works as a private spy for Queen Elizabeth I.
