NEWS BRIEF: Paramount-owned 5 in the UK has commissioned a second season of odd-couple detective drama Cooper & Fry.

Produced by London-based indie Clapperboard (The Game) and Studio TF1, the 8×60’ series stars Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey) and Mandip Gill (Doctor Who) as mismatched investigators tackling murder cases in the Peak District. Set to air in 2027, S2 of Cooper & Fry was ordered for 5 by commissioning editors Paul Testar and Greg Barnett, alongside deputy chief content officer and head of drama Sebastian Cardwell.
