NBCU Telemundo promotes Ferrari

NBCUniversal (NBCU) Telemundo Enterprises has promoted Beau Ferrari to chairman, a role that includes oversight of the Telemundo broadcast network.

Ferrari, previously executive VP of NBCU Telemundo Enterprises, succeeds Cesar Conde, who was recently named chairman of NBCU News Group.

Reporting to Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCU television and streaming, Ferrari will oversee the company’s media portfolio. This includes the Telemundo broadcast network, a studio arm and 30 local stations.

“Beau is a strong leader with extraordinary business acumen and deep media experience across all media platforms and the Hispanic market. During his three years with the company, he has made a tremendous impact as Telemundo became one of NBCUniversal’s fastest-growing businesses,” said Lazarus.

Ferrari joined the company in 2017, and Telemundo has since become a top five broadcast network in the US, alongside NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox, for the first time in its history.

Prior to joining NBCU, Ferrari held various senior executive positions with Univision Communications, including executive VP of corporate strategy and development and executive VP of operations.

Before that, Ferrari was co-founder and partner of a private equity investment firm, having begun his career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley.
