Ferrari driven to NBCUTE

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises (NBCUTE) has appointed a Univision Communications exec as its executive vice-president.

Beau Ferrari has joined the Miami-based firm and will report to Cesar Conde, chairman of NBCUniversal International Group and NBCUTE.

Ferrari previously served as executive VP of corporate strategy and development for Univision Communications, a then-new role at the US Hispanic media group to which he was promoted early last year.

He arrived at Univision in 2009 and also served as the first CEO and general manager of Fusion, Univision’s Miami-based youth-skewing multiplatform network.

At NBCUTE, Ferrari will oversee finance, operations, corporate strategy and development to manage growth and profitability for the media group, which encompasses Spanish-language network Telemundo, production arm Telemundo Studios and distributor Telemundo International.

It also houses the Telemundo Station Group and Spanish-language entertainment cablenet Universo.

“His unique combination of traditional and digital media experience across multiple businesses will be a great addition to our leadership team and will further position our organiaation as an industry leader,” Conde said of Ferrari.

Prior to joining Univision Communications, Ferrari was co-founder and partner at private equity investment and management firm Royal Palm Capital Partners.
