As senior VP of international content development, Brodie will be responsible for developing Disney+’s content strategy for all markets outside the US.

Brodie was most recently director of original film at Netflix, prior to which he held a number of senior roles at Paramount, where he ran the worldwide acquisitions group. He also worked at Sony/TriStar, Relativity Media and Miramax.

“As we look to roll out Disney+ beyond the US over the next several years, Matt will play a critical role in the execution of our content strategy,” said Ricky Strauss, president of content and marketing.

Disney+ is set to launch in the US in November, before rolling out in western Europe and Asia Pacific.
