DIC scores raft of toon sales

LA-based toon studio DIC Entertainment has notched up a raft of international sales across five continents for a pair of its animations: Super Duper Sumos and Mary-Kate & Ashley in Action.

Super Duper Sumos has been picked up by Mediaset (Italy), Antena 3 (Spain), YTV (Canada), Foxtel (Australia), Fox Latin America, Disney Channel in Asia, and RCTV (Venzuela). The show has also been on air in the UK on BBC1 from 22 September on Saturdays 9:00 and Fridays 16:10.

The show follows three half-ton wrestlers who defend peace, honour and truth (PHAT), as well as eat everything in sight.

DIC Entertainment has also sold its animated Mary-Kate & Ashley in Action to ITV (UK), Canal J (France), Mediaset (Italy), YTV (Canada) and Fox Kids Lat-Am.
