Acclaimed filmmaker Gaz Alazraki to share creative vision at Content Americas

Máquina Vega founding partner and creative lead Gaz Alazraki – the director and executive producer of Prime Video’s Mexican version of The Office – will share insights into content creation, storytelling and the evolving entertainment landscape at Content Americas.

Alazraki made his name with the Mexican box-office hit Nosotros los nobles. His credits also include Club de Cuervos, Netflix’s first original series produced outside the US, and the remake of Father of the Bride for WarnerMedia and HBO Max. At Content Americas, he will share his perspective on the creative and commercial forces shaping today’s content business.

Alazraki is a Mexican writer, director and producer and founding partner and creative lead at Máquina Vega. He serves as director and executive producer of the Mexican version of The Office for Prime Video, which is now preparing its second season.
Alazraki’s career took off with Nosotros los nobles, a comedy he wrote and directed that became one of the highest-grossing Mexican films in history. He also created, directed and executive produced Club de Cuervos, Netflix’s first original series produced outside the US, and its spin-off, La balada de Hugo Sánchez. The third season of Club de Cuervos was nominated for an International Emmy.
In addition, Alazraki directed the remake of Father of the Bride for WarnerMedia and HBO Max, produced by Plan B. The film became HBO Max’s biggest premiere to date for a title created exclusively for streaming. Alazraki was named among The Hollywood Reporter’s emerging filmmakers to watch.

El guionista, director y productor Gaz Alazraki es socio fundador y líder creativo de Máquina Vega. Es director y productor ejecutivo de la versión mexicana de ‘The Office’ para Prime Video, que actualmente prepara su segunda temporada.
