The C21 Big Picture Climate Consensus, the first initiative of its kind to seek consensus from across the global content community on how the industry should respond to the climate crisis, is now live and seeking your input.

The C21 Big Picture Climate Consensus uses a real-time AI system for gathering, analysing and understanding opinion to inform decision-making on this crucial issue. It was announced at C21Media’s flagship global content development market Content London in December.
Executives in the global content business, whatever their role, are being invited to take part in the initiative. It is completely anonymous and easy to access.
The project is powered by Pol.is, a platform enabled by AI-powered machine-learning as a means of ‘temperature checking’ a community and driving informed decision-making. It is already used by governments, businesses and NGOs.
Executives who join the conversation vote on a set of statements. In addition, they can add their own perspectives or experiences that are missing from the conversation, which in turn are voted on. It then identifies those ideas the majority of people agree on.

David Jenkinson
The industry isn’t standing still on the climate crisis, but action is far from joined up. The C21 Big Picture Climate Consensus aims to build common consent around the best ideas to address the climate crisis.
Commenting on the initiative, David Jenkinson, editor-in-chief and managing director of C21Media, said: “The C21 Big Picture Climate Consensus will provide valuable input from across the global content business that will be captured and used to deliver recommendations for change in a session at Content London in December.
“We hope to inspire the business to do more to support the fight against climate change, and this initiative is a great way to bring in voices from around the world.”

Cheryl Clarke
Cheryl Clarke, founder of communications and sustainability agency Mushroom Media and advisor to C21’s Big Picture, added: “The climate emergency by any available measure impacts every living organism on earth. Our global industry counts some of the most creative minds in its number, yet we have never created the space or structures to collectively consider how to address it and find out what we care about.
“Now, everyone, from runner to CEO, from Hollywood to Harare, Helsinki to Huddersfield, can share opinion, deliberate and find where consensus lies for action. It’s a beautifully simple yet massive opportunity to rethink how we make decisions, learn from each other and respond. Get involved!”
