Clangers returns to CBeebies

The rebooted Clangers is narrated by Michael Palin

CBeebies in the UK has renewed stop-motion animated preschool series Clangers for a second season, with Michael Palin again on board as narrator.

The second, 26×11′ season is in production and will air on the preschool network later this year. It brings the total number of episodes in the series to 78.

The episodes will be made at UK animation studio Factory with Grammy-award winner John du Prez (Spamalot) handling the score.

Peter Firmin, one of the creators of the original series, and Daniel Postgate, son of series co-creator Oliver Postgate, remain actively involved as executive producers of the show.

Clangers is coproduced by CBeebies, Coolabi Group and Smallfilms with BBC Worldwide , which airs the show on its international channels and is also the distributor for the show.
