AMC Networks International has linked with Qatar’s BeIn Media to launch five channels across 21 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

AMC will be available exclusively via BeIn’s pay TV service and will feature the US cablenet’s original series such as Fear the Walking Dead and The Night Manager.

The other four channels due to launch on August 1 are CBS Reality, Extreme Sports Channel, Outdoor Channel and preschool network JimJam.

AMC Networks International has also ensured that its previous deal for forthcoming drama The Terror, which will debut on its international service “within minutes” of its premiere on AMC in the US next year, will cover MENA.

Yousef Al-Obaidly, deputy CEO of BeIn Media, said: “BeIn’s foray into entertainment content has been extremely successful as the platform has been able to attract a number of high-quality global and premium content partners during the course of the last few months.”
