A&E gives Live Rescue new timeslot

US cablenet A&E is moving its factual series Live Rescue from its original Monday evening timeslot to Thursday.

New episodes of the Ashleigh Banfield-fronted show will premiere on July 18 from 21.00 to 23.00.

The programme follows emergency services from across the country as they answer rescue calls. It was ordered in March as a spin-off from the cablenet’s successful Live PD, which airs on Friday and Saturdays.

The show is produced by MGM-backed Big Fish Entertainment and has averaged 1.0 million total viewers in L+SD and 1.2 million in L+3 since its April premiere, according to Nielsen ratings.
