Prime Video orders feature documentary about 1999 London nail bombings

Surviving the London Nail Bombings comes from Yeti Television

Prime Video in the UK and Ireland has ordered a true crime feature documentary about the 1999 London nail bombings.

Produced by Yeti Television, Surviving the London Nail Bombings (1×90’) provides an eyewitness account of the far-right attacks, in which three London communities were targeted with lethal nail bombs over three successive weeks.

The film is told primarily through the memories of those who were there, using interviews, archive news reports, CCTV and images captured by a photographer who happened to be nearby.

Distributed by Bell Media-owned Sphere Abacus, the doc is the latest acquisition in the multiple true crime deal between the distributor and Prime Video UK and Ireland. It will premiere on the streamer later this year.

Will Stapley, global content director at Sphere Abacus, said: “This feature documentary delivers intimate accounts from many of the innocent people whose lives were affected by the vicious attacks that shocked London more than 25 years ago.

“It candidly shows viewers that acts of terror don’t simply end when the bombs have detonated, but have continuing and life-changing consequences for many years afterwards.”
