UK producer Boudica Entertainment has partnered with South Korea’s Another Story to co-develop original film and TV projects, spanning development, financing and production.

The companies signed a memorandum of understanding at Mipcom in Cannes last week, with Another Story CEO Hee Kyoung Yun and Boudica co-founder Rebecca Long formalising the deal.

Yun’s credits include Korean dramas Reborn Rich, Semantic Error and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Boudica, led by Long and Stella Nwimo, has produced more than 15 features and series, including The Falling and BFI-backed Low Rider. Nwimo’s recent credits include Lady, which premiered at Sundance and Berlin.

“This partnership brings together women producers from Korea and the UK,” said Yun. “It is an honour to work with Rebecca Long and Stella Nwimo. Together, we want to tell stories that reach audiences everywhere.”

Long added: “Hee Kyoung Yun has built some of the most distinctive dramas to come out of Korea and we’re excited by the stories we can originate together inspired by both British and Korean storytelling traditions.”
