Peacock orders Assassins competition series from Sony’s B17, Scarlett Johansson

Peacock has ordered a new competition series called Assassins from Sony Pictures Television-owned B17 Entertainment.

The project, which is based on a social game that is popular with high school and university students, is executive produced by Scarlett Johansson, Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner.

Assassins sees contestants assigned a target to eliminate before the season ends. With each player also a target themselves, contestants must navigate shifting alliances and deception to outwit their rivals and win the game.

Peacock’s slate of unscripted originals also includes Love Island USA, The Traitors and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
