Previously head of longform, Tapper will now spearhead the Sydney-based outfit’s fully integrated TV and movie division, spanning development, financing, production and post-production.

Tapper’s background incudes feature film production, documentary, creative development and post-production. She has been with Heckler for just over five years.

In her new role, Tapper will travel to Mipcom next week alongside Jasmine Tay, executive producer at Heckler Singapore. The pair will pitch an original crime drama series to international partners and buyers, alongside a broader slate of scripted and factual projects currently in development.

Heckler’s original content includes recent feature documentary True South, which charts the history of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and is now streaming on Netflix. The studio has also contributed to projects such as Prime Video’s Kill Jackie and films including Facing the Numbers, French Girls and Boss Cat.
