Canada’s Skywild Pictures elevates Natalie Urquhart to VP of content

Toronto-based production company Skywild Pictures has promoted Natalie Urquhart to VP of content and Olivia Tharme to director of development.

Urquhart, who joined Skywild in August 2025 after six years as director of development at Wildling Pictures, will oversee the company’s content strategy and development slate, including the acquisition and development of TV and film projects.

At Wildling, her credits included Suze, Paying for It and Young Werther, while she also previously held roles at Amaze Film + Television and Blue Ant Media.

Urquhart’s promotion comes following the departure of VP of development Tom Hastings.

Tharme, meanwhile, will take on increased responsibility across Skywild’s scripted slate, working with writers and creators to develop and package projects while sourcing new material and talent. She previously held roles at Lionsgate Canada, Entertainment One and Rogers Sports & Media.

The promotions come as Skywild builds out a slate that includes previously announced projects Treasure Hunters Club, Our Little Secret and The Affinities.

Launched in early 2025, Skywild is led by president Angela Jennings and CEO Travis Farncombe.
