ZDF falls under Shiff’s spell

Magical Things is being filmed this year

ZDF in Germany has boarded a children’s drama series from Australia’s Network Ten about a teenage girl who discovers a magical world.

The Bureau of Magical Things (20×26′) comes from Jonathan M Shiff Productions (Mako: Island of Secrets, Lightning Point, H20: Just Add Water) and will be filmed in Australia this year.

ZDF Enterprises, the distribution arm of the German broadcaster, joined the show as a coproducer and distributor last year.

It follows the adventures of a regular teenage girl who acquires magical powers when caught in a clash between an elf and a fairy.

ZDF is a coproducer and will now be the show’s broadcaster in Germany.
