Youku, FMI renew digital vows

MIPCOM: Chinese online video service Youku has renewed a multi-year digital deal with FremantleMedia International.

The group’s current three-year agreement has been extended for a further three. It covers more than 100 hours of entertainment and drama titles, such as America’s Got Talent and Project Runway, available exclusively on VoD platforms youku.com and tudou.com.

Youku attracts an average of 130 million unique users per day and has 240 million mobile users. It claims to be the second largest service worldwide after YouTube in terms of viewership.
