Tricon continues sales shuffle

Canada’s Tricon Films & Television has appointed a director of international sales and digital acquisitions and made a round of promotions at its sales arm.

Fred Joubaud, previously general manager of digital and interactive developer Ouat Media, has joined Tricon, taking over sales duties from Lia Dolente.

Dolente will now focus on the extended responsibilities she has been given as director of communications, Tricon said.

Tricon recently restructured its sales division following the departure of exec VP of distribution and business development Jon Rutherford, who was replaced by Karthiga Ratnasabapathy, VP of worldwide sales and acquisitions.

The firm continues to tinker with the division and has made a number of staff promotions and realigned certain sales territories.

Nick Solowski has been promoted to senior director of international sales and acquisitions for Asia, Australia & New Zealand, the Middle East and Germany, inflight & non-theatrical.

Liz Coucean has been promoted to director of international sales and acquisitions for Africa, France and Benelux, while Paul Lancaric has been promoted to VP of business affairs.
