Thai net wakes up to Dream Defenders

A broadcaster in Thailand has picked up Singaporean studio Tiny Island Productions’ animated series Dream Defenders for a debut this month.

The 26×22’ series, aimed at kids aged 6-12, will air on Channel 3 Family, having been sold into more than 60 other countries by distributor Dreamworks Classics.

The toon centres on twins who defend the real world from nightmare monsters and premiered on 3net, the US 3D channel formed by Sony, Discovery and IMAX.

Since then, the series has won the Best 3D Animation prize at the Asia Image Apollo Awards 2013.
