Perform unveils sports bulletin

International digital sport and entertainment specialist Perform has launched a new daily multi-platform sports bulletin.

Omnisport.tv will be a fully produced multi-platform video bulletin available for daily distribution across scheduled TV channels, broadband TV services, mobile TV, video-on-demand and the iPod-compatible MP4 format.

The service will feature daily news, interviews and action from major international sports, notably soccer, tennis, golf, motorsport and Olympic events.

Omnisport.tv will be optimised to suit each medium’s requirements and distributed over TV in conjunction with UK-based sports rights company Pitch International. The TV broadcast bulletin will run for 26 minutes with a full graphics package and English commentary, and/or an international track with script.

The mobile TV package will be 20 minutes long, while internet and mobile VoD services will get up to 10 clips daily, each running between one and two minutes. A five-minute version will also be available in video and audio-only formats for MP4 players and PDAs.

“Among mobile phone operators, ISPs and television broadcasters, the appetite for top-quality, well-produced sports programming is as strong as ever, but the distributors increasingly want fully produced professional services and we are looking forward to providing innovative content for a wide range of clients across the digital landscape.”

Perform is the new name for Premium TV and the Inform Group, which merged last September, uniting Premium TV’s technical expertise with Inform’s digital rights acquisition and distribution resources.

The merged company is led by joint CEOs Oliver Slipper and Simon Denyer and has offices in the UK, Singapore, Australia and Italy.
