Jungle hero swings over to Kabillion

US children’s VoD service Kabillion has acquired modern animated series featuring iconic characters George of the Jungle and Casper for a new branded programming block.

Casper’s Scare School joins Kabillion’s ToonPower block

George of the Jungle (26×30′) and Casper’s Scare School (26×30′) were picked up from US-based distributor Broadcast Partners.

The two series, produced in 2007 and 2006 respectively, will be placed on Kabillion’s new ToonPower block.

Nicolas Atlan, Kabillion’s president and co-CEO of its owner, Splash Entertainment, said the deal, plus the firm’s recent acquisition of US toon Gumby, meant the VoD service was becoming a “go-to platform for classic programming.”

“These programmes can be shared by children and their parents, many of whom grew up watching these treasured titles,” Atlan added.
