Jam spreads series down under

Becca’s Bunch comes from Jam Media

ABC Kids in Australia has pre-bought a forthcoming preschool series from Ireland’s Jam Media that mixes live action, puppetry, 2D and CG animation.

Becca’s Bunch (52×11′) follows a bird with a can-do attitude who allows her big ideas to take flight and go on fantastical adventures with her friends.

The series is currently in production and is due to roll out on Nickelodeon on pay TV around the world this year following a deal with Jam in 2016.

Jam Media, which has studios in both Dublin and Northern Ireland capital Belfast, pitched the series at Cartoon Forum in 2013 under the title Early Bird.

The pre-buy comes after ABC Kids picked up rights to Jam’s forthcoming hybrid live-action/animated series Little Roy (52×14′), which it will broadcast later this year.
