ZDF in Germany and Denmark’s DR have acquired The Long Long Holiday (10×26’/5×50′), which is set to air on France TV and Canal+ in France next month to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Produced by Paris-based Les Armateurs (The Triplets of Belleville) and distributed by Cyber Group Studios, the series targets a family audience and follows two brothers and a sister who live at their grandparents’ house near the Normandy coast during the war.

Meanwhile, Thai PBS in Thailand and IRIB in Iran have become the first international broadcasters to acquire Balloopo (52×11′), an animated series for preschoolers also distributed by Cyber Group.

The cartoon follows the adventures of the orange-haired balloon boy Balloopo and is produced by SK Broadband, EBS and POV Digital in Asia.
