Int’l nets take longer Oddbods

Broadcasters in Europe, Latin America and Asia have acquired extended episodes of Oddbods, the shortform animation from CG animation studio One Animation.

Boomerang will air the 60×7′ series in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, while Disney has taken the non-dialogue slapstick comedy for its flagship channel in Asia.

Elsewhere, Canal+ Family and Teletoon+ will air the series in France and Africa, while ITV in the UK and Boing in Italy have also acquired rights.

Created and produced by Singapore-based One Animation, Oddbods follows the adventures of seven characters, each with distinctive colours, characteristics and personalities.

It has previously been available in 224×60″ and 46×5′ formats, while One Animation claims videos on YouTube have clocked up more than 45 million views to date.
