Hulu conquers MTG’s Veni Vidi Vici

Veni Vidi Vici debuted on Viaplay in April

US SVoD service Hulu has acquired the streaming rights to Scandinavian broadcaster Modern Times Group (MTG)’s original drama Veni Vidi Vici.

The series, which started airing on MTG’s Nordic streamer Viaplay in April, will be available on Hulu from December.

Veni Vidi Vici is a 10-part drama exploring the consequences of a struggling Danish film director’s decision to take a job in the adult entertainment industry.

It was written by Rafael Edholm and Santiago Gil (Love is a Drug), with Edholm also producing. London-based independent distributor DRG handles global distribution of the show.

The show is the second MTG original to be picked up in the US after comedy Swedish Dicks launched on Pop TV earlier this year.

MTG has been ramping up its original series output considerably in the last year and recently greenlit political thriller Conspiracy of Silence from its Nice Entertainment subsidiary for Viaplay.
