Gogglebox goes Dutch

A Dutch broadcaster has commissioned a local version of Gogglebox, the UK observational documentary format from All3Media-owned Studio Lambert that watches people watching TV.

RTL4 in the Netherlands will begin airing its own version of the series, which began life on the UK’s Channel 4 where it is now in its third season, this August.

Local versions have also already been commissioned by broadcasters in countries such as the US (Bravo), Israel (Keshet), China (Jiangsu Satellite TV) and Ukraine (ICTV).

The format shows people watching and commenting on TV shows from the previous week and is being shopped by All3Media International, distribution arm of All3Media.
