FranceTV strikes multiple VoD deals

MIPTV: FranceTV Distribution has agreed several VoD deals with children’s content suppliers to strengthen its multi-channel network (MCN) presence on non-linear platforms such as YouTube and Dailymotion.

On the back of agreements signed with Jim Henson, Studio 100 Media, MondoTV, Cybergroup Studio and Samka, FranceTV MCN is planning a further 20 new YouTube and Dailymotion channels.

The content will be built around kids’ titles such as Mademoiselle Zazie, Lulu Vroumette, Blinky Bill, Fraggle Rock, Jamie’s got Tentacles and Marsupilami.

Set up to publish audiovisual content on free video streaming platforms like YouTube and Dailymotion, FranceTV MCN manages content on more than 200 channels and creates original content for channels such as Déconne Cheese.

It launched two YouTube channels, Zouzous and Ludo, in early 2015, providing more than 1,500 free videos around characters such as T’choupi, Petit Ours Brun and the Raving Rabbids. This was followed by the launch of comedy channel Déconne Cheese, developed with TSEprod, and Les Carnets de Julie, with 3ème OEil Productions.

FranceTV MCN generated more than 200 million views on its AVoD channels in the first quarter of this year.
