Echo Bridge spans new ground

US-based distributor Echo Bridge Entertainment has notched up more than 600 hours of programme sales to broadcasters across Europe, Latin America and Asia.

AXN in Italy, TV2 in Norway and RTL Television in Germany have taken multiple seasons of action comedy series Due South (68×60′).

In Asia, the Vietnam Broadcasting Corporation has acquired broadcast rights to all seven seasons high-tech crime series Cold Squad (98×60′) and all five seasons of drama E.N.G. (96×60′).

In the kids’ arena, Echo Bridge has secured a multi-territory deal with BBC Worldwide across Australia, Asia, Latin America and the US Hispanic market for two seasons of stop-motion animated preschool series Lunar Jim (46×30′).

In Latin America, Metro Television in Colombia and in Synapse Brazil Production & Distribution have acquired animated preschool series Connie the Cow (43×30′).

Additionally, Echo Bridge has secured a string of movie sales, the biggest being Patrick Swayze comedy Christmas in Wonderland, which has gone to NBC Universal in the UK, Televiso de Catalunya in Spain, TF1 in France and ZDF in Germany, while Independent International Television has licensed the feature for Latin America, excluding Brazil, where Globo TV has rights.
