Drunken Dragon hits the Croisette

A fledgling Franco-Chinese production company that has created a popular web series is due to attend MipTV for the first time next week.

Producers Hanna Goldman and Emmanuel Sapolsky have set up Paris-based Drunken Dragon Productions together with Xin Wang, who stars in the prodco’s online show Ex-Model.

The comedy follows a Paris-based Chinese fashion model, played by Wang, whose life is turned upside down when she realises that she will not be in demand once she turns 30.

It is coproduced with and broadcast on Chinese web platform Youku and has so far totted up a total of 75 million views, according to Drunken Dragon.

The project has also been selected by Series Mania Festival in the International Web Series category and will available to screen at the Paris event later this month.

Drunken Dragon will be in Cannes next week pitching features, series and shorts targeted at the web, broadcast television and cinema.
