Sky Atlantic and Canal+ crime drama The Last Panthers has been picked up for broadcast across Latin America.

DirecTV in Lat Am has acquired the 6×60′ show, which is inspired by the true story of Balkan jewel thieves The Pink Panthers.

Based on an idea by French journalist Jérôme Pierrat, it premiered on Canal+ in France and Sky in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy last year.

The show is produced by France’s Haut et Court (The Returned) and the UK’s Warp Films (Southcliffe), along with SundanceTV in the US. Sky Vision and StudioCanal are distributing the series internationally.

It has now been sold to 122 territories in total, including to SBS in Australia, HBO in the Nordics and across all Fox Networks Group Crime channels in Central and Eastern Europe.
