Denmark’s Ink draws up animal toon

Danish licensing agent Ink Global has partnered with a visual effects artist with experience on the Star Wars prequels to launch an animated series about a group of animal friends.

Zafari was created by David Dozoretz, who has previously worked with Hollywood directors such as George Lucas on Star Wars and JJ Abrams on Star Trek.

The toon follows the inhabitants of a land that’s home to a unique collection of animals who have all been magically born with the skin of other animals.

Its main character is a little elephant with zebra stripes and its themes include inclusivity and friendship, while it has a “multi-million” Euro budget in place, according to Ink.
