Content aims to take Canuck drama global

Content Television has picked up distribution rights to new drama 19-2, the English-language adaptation of the award-winning French-Canadian series.

Due for a primetime premiere on Bravo Canada this Wednesday and on CTV the following day, 19-2 is a 10×60’ copro for Bell Media by Montréal’s Sphère Média Plus and Echo Media.

Adapted from the original Quebec-based version, which premiered on Société Radio-Canada, the Bravo series is set in Montréal and follows the lives of patrol officers newly partnered within the highly charged environment of city’s nineteenth precinct.

19-2 is directed by Louis Choquette (Rumours) and Érik Canuel (Bon Cop, Bad Cop) with executive producers Jocelyn Deschênes and Carolyn Newman from Sphère Média Plus and Luc Châtelain from Echo Media.

Content Television – part of the Content Media Group – will handle international rights, excluding Canada, across all platforms.
