Cineflix to shop CMJ series

MIPTV: Canadian factual production company CMJ Productions has signed a content deal with UK-based independent distributor Cineflix Rights.

The agreement gives Cineflix exclusive distribution rights to more than 160 hours of programming from CMJ’s factual crime slate.

Titles covered include Imposters (6×60’), aired on Investigation Discovery US and Canada and Canal Vie Canada; and Boogeymen (13×60’), Home Made (13×60’) and Bad Trip (13×60’), from Canada’s Évasion.

The deal also covers upcoming shows Celebrity Damage Control (26×60’) and Celebrity Legacies (26×60’), both of which launch soon on US network Reelz.

Third-party content now accounts for up to half of Cineflix Rights’ 3,600-hour catalogue. It has partnerships with more than 65 production companies, such as LMNO Productions (US), Windfall Films (UK), October Films (UK), Impossible Pictures (UK), Hoodlum (Australia), Indigo Films (US) and Waddell Media (Ireland).
