Channel 4 to record Sex Tape

Sex Tape was a finalist in Armoza Formats’ Formagination pitching competition

UK public broadcaster Channel 4 (C4) has ordered a social experiment format from Israel’s Armoza Formats that sees couples film their intimate moments to improve their relationships.

Sex Tape, which runs to either 60- or 90-minute episodes, was a finalist in Armoza’s annual Formagination pitching competition in 2016. Becky Cadman is the commissioning editor for C4 and the series will be made in the UK by SVT Productions.

The show was originally pitched by Dr Shelly Varod and each episode introduces three couples who film their love lives for a week before analysing them with a sex therapist.

Since being pitched in Armoza’s competition, Sex Tape has been remade around the world and a US version is in the works at Entertainment One.
