Canal+ runs with Walking Dead spin-off

French pay TV operator Canal+ has acquired rights to the forthcoming Walking Dead spin-off drama from US cablenet AMC.

Fear the Walking Dead

Fear the Walking Dead (6×52′) will air in France on Canal+ Series simultaneously with its US premiere next month.

Episodes will also be made available on Canal+ On Demand after they broadcast in France.

The series was created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson and is produced by AMC Studios, Valhalla Entertainment and Circle of Confusion.

It is also due to air on AMC Global, AMC Networks’ international channel, around the world later this year. The channel was rebranded from the MGM Channel in late 2014.
