Instead, Jerry Bruckheimer Television could source financing for projects independently and secure more ownership of resulting series, or agree a new studio deal.

The company, which had an overall deal with WBTV that ran out at the end of May, has been behind shows including Hostages and Without a Trace.

The firm will still work with Warner Bros on a non-exclusive basis and its current slate includes forthcoming series Lucifer on Fox and the reboot of Training Day for CBS. The news was first reported by Variety.

Last month ITV Studios America appointed long-serving Jerry Bruckheimer Television senior VP Michael Azzolino as its executive VP of creative affairs.
