Blue Ant enters scripted sales

The distribution arm of Canada’s Blue Ant Media will take its first scripted programming to MipTV in Cannes next month, in the form of The Inspectors (44×30′).

CBS drama The Inspectors

Set in Washington DC and produced by Litton Entertainment, the CBS series follows a determined teen who is thriving after being paralysed in a car accident and works as an intern for the US Postal Inspection Service.

Meanwhile, Blue Ant International (BAI) has added more than 160 hours of content to its library with the help of numerous output deals with factual entertainment prodcos worldwide.

BAI’s recent production and distribution output deal with fellow Canuck firm CMJ Productions has handed it two new factual entertainment series: Guilty Rich (6×60′), commissioned by Discovery ID, and A Know It All Guide To… (12×30′), a coproduction from FYI, Blue Ant Media and CMJ.

The company has also renewed its output deal with Our House Media, providing it with Home Chef to Pro Chef (14×30′), Paranormal Survivor III (10×60′) and a new 360º digital video series, Paranormal Survivor: Evil Surrounds You.

BAI will be in Cannes bearing fruit from its production partnership with Plimsoll Productions and Camp Zambia, which has resulted in 4K natural history content such as Growing Up Wild (3×60′), Wild Survival (3×60′), Untamed Valley (3×60′), Africa’s Hunters II (6×60′) and Guardians of The Wild II (4×60′).
