AMC prepares to stop Turn

Turn’s final season will air next year

US cablenet AMC has ordered a fourth and final season of American Revolutionary War drama Turn.

The series will get a final 10-episode run to air in 2017, with showrunner Craig Silverstein (Nikita) and Barry Josephson (Bones) once again exec producing.

Based on the Washington’s Spies novel by Alexander Rose, Turn is set in the summer of 1778 and features a New York farmer who gets together a group of childhood friends to form an unlikely spy ring that turns the tide in America’s fight for independence.

The series debuted in 2013 and is produced by AMC Studios and Josephson Entertainment, with Entertainment One distributing.
