US, Lat Am nets unscramble The Code

Broadcasters in the US, Latin America and Europe have pre-bought an upcoming Australian political thriller produced by Playmaker and sold by DCD Rights.

DirecTV’s Audience Network and Sundance Channel will air six-parter The Code in the US and across Latin America respectively, while DR in Denmark has also picked up rights from DCD.

The Code tells the story of two very different brothers who unearth information that those at the highest levels of political power will kill to keep secret. ABC1 in Australia will debut the series this year.

Created by Shelley Birse and written by Birse, Blake Ayshford and Justin Monjo, it stars Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) alongside Adam Garcia (Coyote Ugly), David Wenham (Top Of The Lake) and Aden Young (Rectify).
